VGH – Banfield Pavillion

Banfield Pavillion Project

Banfield Pavillion, located on the campus of Vancouver General Hospital, called us for some help with their overgrown trees and plants. The gardens provide a space for relaxation, outdoor enjoyment, and gardening for the long-term residents who call the Banfield Pavillion home.

The call was for larger planters that could house trees and plants that had become root-bound in decaying wood planters. We were totally on board! There was still more help needed so we called the incredible folks at Para Space Landscapes who answered the call with 2 trucks, a large crew, soil and the tools.

We all went to work to re-plant, clean up and make the space even more beautiful for the senior residents.

Paraspace staff and families

Paraspace Landscape approached us again this year for their Annual Community Service Project. Jennifer from Paraspace sent us pictures of the current state of the rooftop garden at Burnaby Hospital and it really needed some help. With plants from Edgewater Plants and 3 skids of planters, the team of Paraspace staff and their families went to work to transform the large space into something beautiful. The results: a space that staff, patients and their families can enjoy.
